Getting To Know Rosie O'Neal

Rosie O'Neal is a sophomore attacker that has scored five goals and notched four assists during her first two seasons at Campbell. The Virginia Beach, Va., native has scored goals versus Chicago State on Aug. 27 and South Carolina State on Sept. 2 thus far in 2017. O'Neal, a kinesiology major, earned Big South Presidential Honor Roll accolades in 2016 for earning above a 3.0 GPA. 

Why did you decide to play soccer: My parents signed me up when I was 3 years old and I have just played for so long that I could not imagine not playing.
Who was your biggest influence growing up: My parents. They were always at my games and encouraged me when I doubted myself while still telling me what I needed to hear.
Other sports played: Field hockey
Favorite professional player: Megan Rapinoe
Favorite professional club team: Chelsea
What is your favorite memory as a spectator at a soccer game: Watching Megan Rapinoe score while being at my first international game
What is your favorite memory during your playing career: My senior night in high school because it ended with me knowing that I put everything I could into playing during my four years.
What professional player would you want to play with: Ronaldinho. I think it would be amazing to watch his footwork in person.
Which professional athlete would you like to meet: Megan Rapinoe. She is not only a good soccer player, but she also seems like she is an amazing person.
What do you like to do in your free time: Go to other sporting events
What is something that your teammates may not know about you: I am ambidextrous.
