BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Radford (5-2-1) scored four second half goals en route to a 5-1 win over Campbell (4-4-1) on Saturday evening at the Eakes Athletics Complex.
Five different goal scorers led the Highlanders in the match.
Carel Kayembe scored the lone goal for Campbell.
Kayembe opened the scoring for Campbell in the fifth minute. He was on the receiving end of Sam Orisatoki's long throw-in and put the bouncing ball into the back of the net from six yards away.
Radford equalized in the 36th minute off the head of Kieran Roberts. Neil Martorana whipped a cross into the box from the right side and Roberts placed his header to the far left side for the goal.
Fraser Colmer scored in the 52nd minute to put the visitors ahead, 2-1. Jakob Strandsater curved in a corner kick and Colmer connected on a header to the right corner of the goal.
Radford scored its third goal off a header in the 59th minute, courtesy of Myles Yorke. Yorke was on the receiving end of Strandsater's free kick and flicked it to the far post for the goal.
Eight minutes later, Sivert Daehlie made it 4-1, as his one-touch shot from seven yards out slipped inside the near post.
JJ Donnelly had a chance to give Campbell its second goal of the match in the 76th minute, but his penalty kick bounced off the crossbar and back into play.
Six minutes later off a corner kick, the Camels had back-to-back headed attempts to goal, but neither attempt was able to get beyond the goalline.
Strandsater scored the fifth goal for Radford with 65 seconds left, as his shot from the left side of the box found the far right side of frame into the back of the net.
The visitors posted a 22-14 advantage in the shots category, including 8-5 on target.
Matthew Mozynski made three saves in the match, while his counterpart, Nicolas Merzokat, stopped four.
Campbell continues Big South action on Friday at home against Liberty at 7 p.m.
