Campbell (1-3) is coming off a 17-8 win over East Carolina in its home debut.
Kayla Reilly and
Melissa Placek combined for 14 points in the win over the Pirates.
Reilly tallied five assists, matching a career-high, along with three goals for eight points, while Placek found the back of the net a season-best five times, adding an assist in the win.
Mackenzie Koeller also notched four goals, matching a season-high for the senior.
Allison Waldhauser caused four Pirate turnovers and picked up three ground balls, while
Kylie Haarhoff and
Sydney Etheridge combined for seven saves.
CU's 17 goals marked a season-high, while allowing a season-low eight.
Reilly owns a team-best 14 points on the season with six goals and eight assists, while Placek has tallied 10 goals. Koeller adds nine goals for the Camels, with
Sarah Paul collecting a pair of goals and three assists.
Megan Reilly anchors the Campbell defense with 12 ground balls and nine caused turnovers. Coastal (0-1) fell at Louisville 16-7 in its season debut. Caroline Blalock posted a team-high four goals for the Chanticleers against the Cardinals, adding a pair of assists. Jillian Balog and Julia Wood also registered three scores for CCU.
The Camels are 1-4 all-time against the Chanticleers, meeting for the first time since 2016, when CU defeated Coastal 8-7 in Conway, S.C.
The Camels will head on the road next week, traveling to Butler (March 6) and Cincinnati (March 8). Campbell returns home on March 14, hosting George Mason.
