Campbell was scheduled to open Big South action on Saturday, September 15 against USC Upstate but the game was moved to avoid the conditions of Hurricane Florence. Campbell will now face the new conference member on Tuesday, October 23 to close out the regular season.

Campbell (1-6-0) enters Wednesday's match after a nine-day break from action with its last match coming against VMI at home on September 9. The Keydets scattered three goals over 90 minutes of action to claim the 3-0 decision.

"We are  rebuilding and building a number of aspects of what we do. I'm really proud of the girls, they continue to invest in the process. Non-conference stretched us, and we learned," said head coach Samar Azem. "This past week we've had an opportunity to focus on what each individual player can fine-tune and evolve that into how we want to play tactically. Now we get to start the best part of our season. Everything dials back to 0-0-0."

Alexa Genas leads the Campbell charge with two goals and four points on the year. Erin Scott ranks in the nation's top 50 in saves per game 5.57 as a part of 39 saves overall. Scott's save total ranks second in the Big South and sits just two saves behind Winthrop's Kelly Horan.

Radford (4-1-1) has won four in a row after opening the season with a tie to St. Francis (Pa.) and falling to ECU 5-1. Since the Highlanders loss to ECU, Radford has outscored its opponents twelve to two.

Azem continued, "Radford is a very good team. They have a number of players that are dangerous, opportunistic, and effective. Every game from here on out we are going to have to maximize the quality we bring to the game. The team is ready to go, they know what to expect. We are definitive about how we want to approach this portion of our season."

Most recently the Highlanders defeated Elon on the road, 3-1. Radford's leading goal scorer Jessica Wollmann netted one goal for her fifth of the year while Jasmine Casarez found the goal for two scores on the night. Wollmann ranks second in the league with points (15), points per game (1.83), goals (5), and goals per game (0.83).

"The team is ready to go, they know what to expect and are prepared to get to work," closed Azem.

After Wednesday's match, the Camels continue their conference slate and travel to UNC Asheville on Saturday for a 4:00 start time.
