BUIES CREEK, N.C. - For the third time this season,
Alexa Genas has garnered Big South Conference weekly honors by being named the Co-Attacking Player of the Week alongside Winthrop's Natalie Royaards.
The Albuquerque, N.M. native scored twice and added an assist in a 3-0 win over Charleston Southern to claim the sixth weekly honor of her career.
Following this week's recognition for Genas, Campbell has now set a Big South Conference record for the most weekly honors in a season with nine. Radford tied its own record of eight a season ago.
Genas moved into sole possession of ninth place on the Big South all-time career goals list with a pair of goals in Camels' sole match of the week. She scored the game-winner to open the match and bookended her performance with the final goal after she dished out an assist to total five points on the night.
Genas and the Camels who sit second in the league standings return to action Wednesday night with a trip to Farmville to take on Longwood at 7:00 p.m.
