LYNCHBURG, Va. — The Fighting Camels broke three all-time school records on day one at the 2019 Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) Championships.
Campbell's 200-medley relay team of Megan Everritt, Taylor McMinn, Maddie Baiotto and Sarah Wilson collectively swam a 1:42.17, finishing third. The mark bested a time set in last year's conference meet (1:42.42), which also featured Everritt and McMinn.
Campbell's 800-free relay squad of Annie Sanchez, Neringa Cerniauskaite, Hannah Kendall and Sarah Wilson also set a new program record, posting a time of 7:30.98. Sanchez swam her 200-free leg of the 800-free relay in 1:49.49, besting Sindija Silina's mark of 1:51.15 set at the 2018 CCSA Championships.
The 200-medley mark broke the school record of 1:42.42 that was set at last year's CCSA Championships, while the 800-free time bested a five-year-old record of 7:32.22 set at the 2014 CSCAA Collegiate Classic.
