LYNCHBURG, Va. — Campbell's 400-medley relay squad earned bronze in the finals, and Taylor McMinn and Maddie Baiotto set new school records at the third day of the Coastal Collegiate Sport Association (CCSA) Championships.
McMinn beat her previous school record by 0.19 seconds in the finals of the 100 breast, swimming a time of 1:03.24. The senior finished fifth, CU's highest individual finish on day three.
Baiotto swam a 54.83 in the 100-fly preliminaries, surpassing her previous program record by 0.15 seconds. She posted a seventh-place finish in the finals (54.86).
The 400-medley relay team of Megan Everritt, Taylor McMinn, Maddie Baiotto and Hannah Kendall placed third in the finals with a time of 3:45.09.
Madison Scott was the third Camel to post a top-10 finish in the finals of day three, coming in ninth in the 100 fly (55.57).
Karah Sizemore earned Campbell's top finish in the 400 individual medley, placing 17th in 4:34.22. Hannah Kendall and Annie Sanchez finished 16-17 in the 200 free finals with times of 1:55.28 and 1:56.36, respectively.
Campbell moved into fifth place after three completed days at the conference meet with 598.5 points. The Camels trail the leader Liberty (1366.5), Florida Gulf Coast (1190), Incarnate Word (773) and Georgia Southern, while leading UNC Asheville (571), North Florida (475), Gardner-Webb (464) and Howard (335).
