BUIES CREEK, N.C. - For the second time over the weekend Campbell locked up a one-run lead in the final frame to claim a win over Winthrop.
Abby Perryman drove in two runs and plated one more of her own and Megan Richards tossed her seventh complete game of the season as Campbell topped Winthrop 4-3 to claim the series against the Eagles.
Campbell (8-15, 2-1 Big South) posted a three-run second inning to open things up which started with an RBI double to left center by Abby Perryman (2-for-3, 2 RBI, 1 run) who plated Cassie Wancheck.
Wancheck led the inning off by getting pelted by a pitch before Perryman ripped her RBI double one batter later to score Wancheck from first.
After a walk from Danielle Northrup and a single from Claudia Ware to load the bases, Bri Bryant singled up the middle to plate Perryman.
One batter later, Megan Mozingo grounded out to second to second to bring home Danielle Northrup for the final run of the frame.
After Winthrop (10-11, 1-2 Big South) gained a run back in the fourth and Tori Walker doubled to lead off the fifth inning, Keleigh Romine (1-for-4, 2 RBI) singled up the middle to score Walker from second to tie the game 3-3.
Campbell responded in the bottom half on Perryman's second RBI double of the day. Her shot to right center scored Hannah McCravy from first who pinch ran for Kynadi Tipler who single to left center with two outs.
Megan Richards (5-6) recorded her second win of the weekend by going the distance where she surrendered eight hits that resulted in three runs.
Kiley Majette (3-7) tallied the loss by giving up four runs on six hits while walking two.
Bri Bryant's RBI single in the second inning extended her on-base streak to 14 straight games.

Campbell stays at home for a doubleheader on Wednesday when the Camels welcome Youngstown State to Amanda Littlejohn Stadium for a 2:00 p.m. start time.
