The Camels (5-9, 2-2 Big South) head into their final pair of regular season matchups in a battle for positioning in the Big South. With two games remaining, CU is locked with Radford for the fourth and final slot in the Big South Championship at 2-2 in league contests.
Campbell is coming off an 18-12 win over Gardner-Webb in its home finale on Saturday, posting eight straight second half goals to pull away from the Runnin' Bulldogs.
Melissa Placek paced the Camels on the day with a game-high four goals, adding an assist with eight draw controls, three ground balls and a caused turnover.
Ellie Allen added three goals and a helper, while
Sarah Paul also registered a hat trick to go along with two draw controls, two ground balls and a forced turnover.
On the defensive end,
Rose Prizzi notched four caused turnovers with two ground balls, while
Julia Markey and
Amanda Chasin forced two Bulldog miscues each, combining for five ground balls.
Lexie Patton secured 10 saves in goal with two ground balls and a caused turnover.
Annie Pazulski leads the Camels with 43 points, collecting 21 goals and 22 assists, while Placek has punched in a team-best 28 goals and 90 draw controls. Allen has chipped in 21 scores, while freshman
Laura Will owns 17 goals.
Sam Carey also boasts 16 points to go along with 62 draw controls.
Chasin anchors the CU defense with 30 ground balls and 15 caused turnovers, while Markey owns 25 ground balls and 20 forced miscues. Prizzi has also collected 29 ground balls with 10 caused turnovers. Patton, meanwhile, has snagged 115 saves with 26 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers.
Longwood (6-8, 3-1 Big South) has posted three straight wins heading into Wednesday's game, including a 14-4 win over Winthrop on Saturday. The Lancers are led by Kaitlin Luccarelli's 64 points, posting 45 goals and 19 assists with 26 ground balls, while Dana Joss has tallied 27 goals, 22 ground balls and 23 caused turnovers.
Campbell has won three in a row in the series with Longwood, including last season' 20-8 victory in Buies Creek. The Lancers lead the all-time series 5-3.
The Camels will close out the regular season on the road at Radford on Saturday, April 20, before heading into the Big South Championship (April 26-28).
