BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell dropped a tightly contested battle on Friday afternoon, falling to Elon by a score of 11-10 in double overtime at Barker-Lane Stadium.

Anna Hackett assisted Lizzie Scalzo, who found the back of the net with one second on the clock in the second overtime period.

The Camels now sit at 9-6 and 0-5 in CAA play. The Phoenix improved to 7-6 and 3-2.

Elon had one-goal leads after the first and second quarters, 3-2 and 6-5. Campbell scored three in the third to tie the game at 8-8 going into the fourth quarter.

Paige White scored the first two goals of the final frame to put the Camels ahead, 10-8. Elon answered with a goal by Mackenzie Coleman at the 3:08 mark, and Lillian Austin scored her second goal of the day with 57 seconds remaining to tie it once again to force overtime.

Adria Welsh tied her season high with 14 saves, four of which came in the overtime periods, and she added three ground balls.

Paige White scored three goals for her sixth hat trick of the season. Ana Lee Vandiver scored three goals of her own to lead Elon.
