Box Score BUIES CREEK - Jada McMillian had 19 points and Octavia Jett-Wilson added 18 as Campbell fell to Charlotte, 62-42, Friday afternoon at Gore Arena.
Charlotte (1-4) shot 62.5% shooting from the field and allowed only 14 points in the second half as Campbell (2-2) dropped its second game of the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Both teams shot over 50% from the field in the first quarter as the Camels held a slight advantage at the end of the period, 19-18
- Taya Bolden (nine points) and Lauren McNamara-Clement (seven points) led the scoring efforts in the first half, giving Campbell a 28-24 lead at halftime
- Campbell held on to its lead well into the third quarter until a basket and a foul sent Jett-Wilson to the line with 4:38 to go in the third, giving the 49ers its first lead at 36-35 since 6:13 in the first
- Charlotte held on to its lead for the remainder of the game, ending the third quarter on a 10-2 run and outscoring the Camels 16-5 in the fourth for the win. The 49ers combined to shoot 62.5% from the field in the second half.

- Bolden finished with nine points and 11 boards marking the third game this season the redshirt-junior has grabbed double-digit rebounds
- Campbell held advantages in second-chance points (8-3) and points off the bench (13-6) while Charlotte held an edge in points in the paint (34-20) and points off turnovers (18-8)
- The 49ers shot 48.0% from the field in the game and made 15-of-24 (62.5%) buckets in the second half while Campbell was held to 30.8% shooting from the field
