BUIES CREEK, N.C. – After leading Campbell in scoring in each of its games last week, Julianna Sanchez has been named the Big South Freshman of the Week.

Sanchez posted nine goals in two games, adding 11 draw controls, two ground balls and a caused turnover against Coastal Carolina and Mercer.

The redshirt freshman netted five goals in her home debut against the Chanticleers on Wednesday, nearly completing Campbell's comeback attempt, scoring three of the game's final three tallies, while adding eight draw controls. An Annapolis, Md. native, Sanchez added four goals against Mercer, including Campbell's first three of the game, tacking on three more draw controls.

For the season, Sanchez owns 10 goals and an assist with 11 draw controls.

The Camels head back on the road on Wednesday, February 19 at Richmond. CU returns home on Saturday, hosting East Carolina.
