CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Destini England went a perfect 5-for-5 at the plate and Campbell collected a season-high 15 runs and 17 hits claiming a 15-4 victory over Delaware State to close out play at the Green and White Classic tournament at Sue M. Daughtridge Stadium.
Campbell improves to 7-8 following the win and Delaware State falls to 0-10 on the season.

Campbell got on the board in the first inning as England hit a leadoff triple to left center and scoring on a sacrifice fly by Kayla Fredendall.
The Camels continued, scoring four runs in the third inning. Claudia Ware doubled to right center, scoring one while Cassie Wancheck added another on a fielder's choice to third base. Noemi Cortez drove in two additional runs on a hit to deep center field, giving Campbell a 5-0 lead.
Delaware State answered in the bottom of the third, scoring one run on a sacrifice fly to make it 5-1.
The offense added five runs in the fourth as Ware collected another RBI base hit while Tipler drove in another run on a groundout. A fielding error brought in another run while a home run from Wancheck, her second of the season, gave CU a 10-1 lead.
The Hornets threatened in the bottom half of the inning, scoring three runs on two hits and a Campbell error to trimming the deficit, 10-4.Â
Tipler hit an RBI single through the left side in the fifth and Campbell collected four runs on five more hits in the sixth.Â
Starting pitcher Megan Richards retired the final six Delaware State batters in the last two innings of the game as Campbell ended the weekend tournament with a win.
Nine different Camels recorded hits and seven different recorded at least one RBI in the win.Â
England improved her hitting streak to 10 games, collect multiple hits in eight games this season after a 5-hit performance today.
Chisholm went 1-for-1 at the plate, drawing three walks and two RBI and two stolen bases. Ware went 3-of-4 with one walk and three RBI, while Wancheck drove in three runs on the day.
Cortez and Tipler both ended their day at the plate with two hits and two RBI each.
Megan Richards (3-0) picked up the win, allowing one earned run on five hits and striking out three in six innings of work. Tiffany Diao was charged with the loss as she drops to 0-4 on the year.
