BUIES CREEK, N.C. -- Gustavs Lukstins clinched the match at No. 4 for Campbell who topped Longwood 5-2 to open Big South action Thursday afternoon.
Lukstins clinched the match with a 0-6, 6-1, 6-0 comeback win at No. for for the Camels (3-2, 1-0) who have won two in a row.
Ondrej Labik and
Bastien Huon won their third straight match as a pair, 6-2, to open doubles play.
Raphael Calzi and Lukstins followed with a 6-3 win at No. 1 to clinch the doubles point.
Robin Angles gave the Camels a 2-0 lead with a 6-0, 6-2 two set win at No. 5 for his first win of the season.
After Ernest Rocabert pulled the Lancers (4-4, 0-1 Big South) back to within one,
Raphael Calzi claimed a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 1 for his third straight win. The win pushed his overall record to 3-2 on the season.
After Lukstins clinched the match,
Ondrej Labik claimed his third straight win with a 3-6, 7-6, 10-7 comeback win at No. 3. With his three straight wins, Labik now holds a 3-2 record.
Campbell returns to action on Saturday against Appalachian State at 1:00 p.m.
