BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Jesus Carralero and
Ricky Clemons scored 14 points each and Campbell pulled away for an 83-39 win over Lancaster Bible College Tuesday night at Gore Arena.
Messiah Thompson added 12 points and Laurynas Vaistaras a career-high 10 off the bench for the Camels (6-1), who won their fourth-straight game.
Jordan Shewbridge scored 13 points and Grant Sareyka 10 for the Division III Chargers, who shot just 27 percent and committed 18 turnovers.
Campbell used a 13-2 run late in the first half to take a 37-22 lead at the break, then outscored the visitors 46-17 after intermission.
CU shot 50.8 percent (31-61) on the night and finished with a 48-8 edge on points in the paint, while outscoring the Chargers 26-9 off turnovers.
Carralero, who scored all 14 of his points in the opening half, dealt six assists in just 20 minutes.
Austin McCullough added nine points and a career-high seven rebounds.
Campbell finished with a 46-28 advantage on the boards and did not allow a second-chance point on just two offensive rebounds.
The Camels return to action Saturday in a 4:00 p.m. tip-off at VCU.
