DAVIDSON, N.C. – Three tightly contested doubles matches proved to be the difference Saturday as Davidson defeated Campbell 4-3 at the Knobloch Indoor Tennis Center.
 
The Wildcats (1-3) won a pair of 7-5 decisions and a tiebreaker to claim the doubles point.  Davidson and the visiting Camels split the six singles contests.
 
Benjamin Niv, Matthew Beecher and Benjamin Maes won in singles play for the Camels (0-2), but Davidson won at the third, fifth and sixth positions to earn the decisive points.
 
Campbell returns to action Feb. 17 when the Camels host NC Central at 2:30 p.m.
