BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell faces its first midweek and road contest Tuesday with an afternoon matchup at NC State. First pitch between the Camels and Wolfpack is set for 3 o'clock at Doak Field.
The Camels and Wolfpack are familiar foes, having faced each other 55 times in the series, with NC State holding a 38-16-1 edge. The teams met three times in 2019, with Campbell having won each of the last two matchups. The most recent came in the opening game of the Greenville regional, where Campbell topped NC State 5-4.
Collin Wolf and
Koby Collins both drove in runs that game and

CAMPBELL NOTES
Campbell pitching has posted a team ERA of 1.83 thus far, good for first in the Big South and 12
th in the country. The staff is led by
Ryan Chasse who is now 2-0 with a 1.64 ERA.
Ryan Chasse was named the Big South Starting Pitcher of the Week after earning the win Friday. The lefty went 6.0 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 3 Ks. It's his second time winning the award, having previously done so on May 6, 2019.
Four Camels have reached base safely in every game this season:
Waldy Arias,
Connor Denning,
Spencer Packard, and
Collin Wolf. Going back to last season, Packard has reached safely in 17 straight and Arias has reached in 15 straight.
Connor Denning went deep twice during the weekend, each time a solo shot to lead off the seventh inning. He hit one home run during last year's short season, but hit 14 during his JuCo career.
LAST TIME OUT
Campbell is coming off a 2-1 series win over the Dayton Flyers. They won Friday 8-1, fell Saturday 5-4, and took Sunday's rubber match 11-2.
Denning had a monster day on Sunday, notching a four-hit game and finishing a double shy of the cycle.
Jonathan Tyler had a notable outing working out of the bullpen. The senior struck out five in just two innings, including striking out the side in the top of the ninth to keep it a one run game and give the Camels a chance.
KNOW YOUR OPPONENT
NC State comes in with a 2-4 record having dropped four in a row. After opening the year with two wins over Davidson, the Wolfpack find themselves on a four-game skid with losses to UNCG, and three to No. 15 Georgia Tech.
The Wolfpack entered the season ranked as high as No. 11 in the NCBWA poll, and No. 13 in D1 Baseball. They have since fallen out of the rankings.
The offense is paced by Luca Tresh who has gone deep five times through six games this season, good for third in the country.
Lefty David Harrison is expected to get the start for NC State against Campbell. The junior is 0-0 this season with a 5.40 ERA. He's appeared twice and allowed one run in 1.2 innings of work.
