Campbell was unable to escape the jam in the bottom of the sixth. With two on and nobody out the Camels turned to
Fred Sisco to face Joe Johnson. Johnson won the battle and took the first pitch he saw deep to right for a three-run homer to vault the Panthers into the lead. They would add one more on an RBI triple to right to extend the lead to 6-3.
The Camels got one back on a seeing-eye single from
Spencer Packard in the seventh to plate Arias and cut the score to 6-4. The single gave Packard his 21

Matthew Christian.
High Point wasted no time getting that run back, taking the first pitch of the bottom of the seventh out to left to push the lead back to three.
The control issues came to a head for Campbell in the bottom of the eighth, where three walks and two hit batters led to High Point getting a pair of runs on no hits in the inning. Campbell was unable to draw any closer in the ninth and fell by the score of 9-4.
Bryce Arnold had a big day at the plate, recording the first three-hit game of his young career. His fourth multi-hit game of the year brings his batting average up to .378.
