CHARLESTON, S.C. - Amber Liston's goal in the 77th minute was the difference in the Campbell women's soccer team's win at Charleston Southern on Thursday afternoon at the CSU Soccer Field.
Campbell closes out its season on a six match unbeaten streak and a 6-3-1 record (6-2-1 Big South) while Charleston Southern falls to 2-6-1.
Stephanie Martelli earned her sixth shutout of the season as the Camels did a phenomenal job controlling possession after limiting the Buccaneers to just one shot on goal the entire match.
Liston scored her first goal of the season on a shot from outside the box, putting it away to the lower left corner of the goal in the 77th minute.
Charleston Southern stymied the Camels in the first half, erasing several great scoring opportunities off the board due to offside calls. The Campbell bench, led by Liston, provided a spark after tallying seven shots with five being on goal.
Campbell outshot Charleston Southern 11-1 while earning 10 corner kicks to the Buccaneers' one. Jenna Moran had four saves in between the posts for CSU.
