CARY, N.C. - Campbell cross country completed its second meet of the regular season at the Adidas XC Challenge on Friday evening.
Dorcus Ewoi finished 13th overall in the women's 5K race, crossing the finish line in 17:42.1 in a field that featured a nationally top-ranked NC State squad. Madelyn Rodriguez finished behind Ewoi in 19:08.3. Hannah Cranford (20:20.8) and Isabella Rowland (20:43.9) both rounded out the women's team on the course.
The Wolfpack women earned a first place team finish after having the top five fastest times in the race for a perfect 15 points. Wake Forest finished second with 49 points as a team while Davidson picked up third place with a score of 92.
Godwin Kimutai led the CU men in the 6K race with a time of 19:09.8 along with Rievan Lombard who trailed with a time of 19:28.1. Pace Clark also managed to finish with a sub-20 minute time of 19:57.3.
North Carolina's Parker Wolfe finished first overall with a time of 17:48.0, helping the Tar Heels and its men's team finish first overall with 31 points. NC State's men followed in second with 47 points while Wake Forest took third with 58.
Campbell's next meet is set at the Chanticleer Challenge hosted by Coastal Carolina in Conway, S.C. on Friday, October 1.
