Charlotte - Charlotte picked up its third straight win after defeating Wofford 1-0 Sunday on Michaella Arteta's penalty kick goal in the 60th minute. The 49ers held a 14-4 shot advantage and a 12-1 edge on corner kicks over the Terriers.

SERIES HISTORY: Charlotte leads the all-time series with Campbell 2-0. Both schools last met in the Queen City on Sept. 12, 2019 as Charlotte earned a 4-1 victory. The 49ers earned a 2-1 victory in the first meeting between programs on Sept. 14, 1994.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT: Off to a 3-0 start to the season, Charlotte returns eight starters, including three all-conference performers, from last season's team that went 6-6 and reached the finals of the Conference USA tournament. The 49ers have not allowed a goal this season and are out-shooting foes 51-to-14. Sophomore midfielder Piper Biziorek leads the team with two goals while freshman Macey Bader leads with two assists.

NOWOWIESKI EARNS NATIONAL AND CONFERENCE HONORS: Junior forward Elyssa Nowowieski was named to TopDrawerSoccer's Team of the Week and was the Big South's Co-Offensive Player of the Week after scoring against NC State and Mount St. Mary's. Nowowieski netted the equalizer against NC State in the 53rd minute as Campbell earned a 1-1 (2OT) draw with the Wolfpack. She also scored in the 13th minute in the Camels 4-1 win over Mount St. Mary's on Sunday.

BIG EAST IMPACT TRANSFERS: Campbell's transfers from the Big East Conference - Mary Tierney (DePaul) and Jackie Richards (Xavier) - have made significant impacts this season. Tierney helps maintain the CU backline and ranks second on the team with 362 minutes played while Richards leads the team in shots (8) and has one assist this season.

HEAD COACH SAMAR AZEM Is in her fifth season in charge of the Fighting Camels (60-52-16 overall / 38-26-6 Big South).
