Liston claims Big South weekly honors

Senior midfielder totaled one goal, two assists in 8-0 win over Longwood

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Amber Liston has been named Big South offensive player of the week, the conference office announced Monday afternoon.

A senior midfielder, Liston totaled one goal and two assists in Campbell's 8-0 win over Longwood last Wednesday, clinching the Big South regular season title.

Liston scored the opening goal just 88 seconds into the match, scoring after a shot from Elyssa Nowowieski was saved. She later assisted on goals in the 54th and 60th minutes, helping the Camels earn their biggest win over a Big South foe in program history.

The Sacramento, Calif. native has totaled three goals and four assists in 14 appearances on the season. This marks the first weekly honor of Liston's career and the fifth player of the week award for Campbell this season.

Campbell will be the top-seeded team in the Big South Championship and will face fourth-seeded Gardner-Webb on Thursday (Nov. 3) in a 4:00 p.m. kickoff at the Matthews (N.C.) SportsPlex.
