BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Coastal Carolina won a pair of three-set singles matches to edge Campbell 4-3 in men's action Friday at the Nisbet Tennis Center.
The Camels claimed the doubles point before the Chanticleers (5-4) rallied in singles.
Noe Macquart and
Tomas Balazi won in straight sets for Campbell (3-3) to draw the match score level at three.
In the deciding match, Coastal's Daiki Tanabe fended off two match points and rallied to claim a second-set tiebreaker, then won the deciding set 6-1 at No. 5 singles over
Benjamin Maes.
Campbell returns to action Saturday with a 2:00 p.m. first serve at Duke.
