BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Campbell picked up its sixth-straight win and finished the Campbell Invitational undefeated with a 4-0 win over Akron Sunday at Amanda Littlejohn Stadium.
Campbell (11-6) improved to 8-1 at home after today's win marking the best home start under head coach Sharonda McDonald-Kelley.
Alyssa Henault went 2-for-3 with two RBI while Delaney McDilda also went 2-for-3 and scored two runs. Savannah White added a hit and RBI while Noemi Cortez provided a RBI on a sacrifice fly.
Georgeanna Barefoot (6-2) commanded another strong start in the circle allowing three hits and striking out seven batters. Barefoot picked up her fifth shutout victory in the process.
