SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Campbell extended its winning streak to a school record six games, defeating Wofford 14-12 on Saturday at Gibbs Stadium.

The Camels (9-4, 6-0 Big South) won their sixth straight game, all in Big South play, winning their first six conference outings for the first time in program history. Wofford dropped to 3-10 overall and 1-5 in Big South play with the loss.

Megan Matthews produced five points on three goals and two assists, leading three Camels with hat tricks, adding three ground balls. Sam Bischoff and Joslin Hanbury also posted three goals apiece in the win, while Olivia Ohlmann and Kyle Azzato tacked on two goals each.

Chandler Stewart caused two turnovers, including a crucial interception with 1:02 on the clock and Campbell defending its two goal lead. Emma Strickland also notched 13 saves.

CU led 12-6 at the 7:15 mark of the third on Azzato's second goal on the day, capping a 4-0 run for the Camels.

The Terriers, however, responded with a 4-1 spurt, led by a pair of goals from Emma Krasinski, cutting the Campbell lead to 12-10 before Matthews' answer, helping CU hold on for the road victory.

Campbell's opponents over the last four games heading into Saturday's matchup had committed 89 combined turnovers (22.25 per game), but Wofford limited its miscues to 14, compared to 18 for the Camels.

Campbell will return home next week, hosting Presbyterian on Wednesday, April 20, before welcoming Furman on April 23 in its home finale. The Camels will round out the regular season on April 27 at Mercer.
