MACON, GA. – Mercer defeated Campbell 18-8 Wednesday to earn at least a share of the Big South Conference Championship Wednesday at Five Star Stadium.
Hailey Rhatigan and Chloe Schaeffer scored five goals apiece for the Bears (12-4, 8-1), who finished with a 31-24 edge in shots, and earned a first-round bye in the Big South Championship.
Olivia Ohlmann scored three goals for the Camels (10-6, 7-2), who will host a Big South tournament first round match Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
Sam Bischoff added two goals, while
Shania Roehrich scored once and had two assists for Campbell, which lost for just the second time in nine outings.
Shae Fitzgerald and
Lexi McDaniel also scored, while goalie
Emma Strickland finished with 11 saves.
