CARY, N.C. – The Campbell cross country team competed in the Adidas Challenge on Friday evening.
Dorcus Ewoi finished 10
th overall on the 5k course with a time of 17:20.9 in a field that featured an NC State team that was ranked first in this week's national coaches poll.
Katie Skinner was the next Lady Camel to finish at 22:06.1. Holly Johnson (23:11.7),
Keeley Williams (23:26.9), and
Ashley Cox (24:28.1) rounded it out for Campbell.
The top-ranked Wolfpack women placed first with 17 points housing six of the top 10 finishers. Charleston Southern placed second with 86 points and Davidson placed third with 93 points.
Laderique McNeill led the Campbell men in the 6k race with a time of 19:02.3 followed by
Pace Clark (20:08.8) and
Hudson Hayes (20:37.8).
Charleston Southern's Micah Gilpatric finished first with a time of 17:24.8 but the NC State men's team took first place with 20 points. Charleston Southern finished behind them with 48 points and Elon finished third with 85 points.
The next meet for the Camels is set for Friday, October 14
th in High Point, N.C.
