RADFORD, VA. - Despite playing down two players for the final nine minutes, Campbell earned a 1-1 draw against Radford Wednesday night at Cupp Stadium.
Campbell, unbeaten in its last five outings, stands at 4-3-2 with the draw while Radford moves to 4-1-4 overall.
Both sides went without a goal in the first half as Campbell finished with a 3-0 advantage on shots on goal.
In the 54th minute Jessica Donald scored on a long-distance screamer into the top-right upper corner of the goal.
The Camels added several more opportunities on goal including a near-miss on a header by Jackie Richards.
In the 78th minute Elyssa Nowowieski was given a red card following a foul on a Radford player. Moments later, in the 81st minute, Mary Tierney was shown a red card after being called for a hand ball in the Camels box.
Radford was awarded a penalty kick following the hand ball foul as Alexeis Kirnos scored the tying goal.
The Highlanders outshot Campbell 13-9 but CU had more shots on goal finishing with a 6-5 advantage.
