CONWAY, S.C. - Elyssa Nowowieski and Jessica Donald each scored as Campbell defeated Coastal Carolina 2-1 Sunday night at the CCU Soccer Stadium.

The Camels, who picked up their first road victory of the season, improve to 2-3-1 overall while the Chanticleers fall to 0-3-2.

The first half was scoreless as Campbell held a 4-2 edge on shots and held the Chanticleers without an opportunity through the first 40 minutes.

Cazzi Norgren provided the first chance on goal in the 20th minute with a shot on frame. Jackie Richards provided another shot on goal later on in the 31st minute.

Campbell broke the stalemate in the 53rd minute as Elyssa Nowowieski recorded her first goal of the season on an assist from Mary Tierney.

The Chanticleers evened it again in the 69th on a strike from Megan Brouse.

Donald netted what would become the game-winner in the 75th minute thanks to another assist by Tierney.

The Camels prevented Coastal Carolina from attempting another shot for the remainder of the game following its only goal.

CU held a 11-8 edge on shots including holding a 6-3 advantage on shots on goal.

Campbell stays on the road as it heads to Wofford on Thursday. Kickoff from Spartanburg, S.C. is set for 7:00 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN+.
