CHARLOTTE, N.C. - After helping Campbell to pair of wins, Laney Peabody has been named Big South Defensive Player of the Week.

A senior defender from Solana Beach, Calif., Peabody assisted the Campbell defense to a 3-0 shutout win over Richmond to start the week. Peabody and the Camels capped off the week with a 2-1 win on the road at Coastal Carolina.

In total, Peabody and the Campbell backline held both Richmond and Coastal Carolina to eight shots overall and three attempts on goal in each game.

This is the first Big South weekly honor for a Campbell player this season and marks the second one of Peabody's career.

Campbell returns to action on Thursday as it travels to Wofford for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff.
