BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Campbell hosts High Point Wednesday in an Orange Out game set for a 7 p.m. tip at Gore Arena.

LAST TIME OUT

  • Christabel Ezumah led all scorers with 18 points and Campbell defeated Charleston Southern 63-46 Saturday at Gore Arena
  • Campbell (11-8, 6-2) never trailed and led by as many as 21 against a Charleston Southern (2-17, 0-8) team that has lost 13 straight
  • Gianni Boone scored 14 points, her 12th game in double-figures this season, and added seven boards, three assists and two blocks. Brittany Staves poured in 12 points and six boards while Svenia Nurenberg added nine
  • The Camels shot 43.2 percent (19-44) from the field, made 21-of-26 free throws and out rebounded the Buccaneers 43-20

  • Christabel Ezumah was named Big South Player of the Week on Jan. 23
  • Ezumah led Campbell with 18 points and added four rebounds in a 63-46 win over Charleston Southern
  • She also recorded 12 points, seven rebounds and three blocks in Campbell's 54-53 loss at Radford
  • Overall, Ezumah averaged averaged 15.0 points on 81.3 percent shooting, 5.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks

NATIONALLY RANKED DEFENSE

  • Campbell ranks No. 3 nationally in scoring defense, holding foes to an average of 50.6 points per game
  • The Camels also rank No. 6 in field goal percentage defense, holding teams to shoot 33.5 percent from the field and rank No. 37 in three-point  field goal percentage defense, limiting teams to shoot 27.2 percent from behind the arc
  • Additionally, the Camels rank No. 29 nationally with 41.8 rebounds per game, No. 13 with a rebound margin of 9.8 and No. 64 averaging 4.1 blocks per game

BIG SOUTH SUCCESS

  • Campbell is off to another top start to Big South play this season with a 6-2 conference record
  • The Camels have won six of their last eight games, falling only to league-leader Gardner-Webb and Radford on the road

BOONE BOOMIN'

  • Freshman guard Gianni Boone has been a top option for the CU offense this season

HEAD COACH RONNY FISHER

  • A three-time Big South Coach of the Year and the winningest active coach in the conference, Ronny Fisher is in his  seventh season at the helm of Campbell University women's basketball
  • Over the previous six seasons Campbell has won 119 games for an average of nearly 20 wins per season
  • As the current longest-tenured Big South coach in his 15th season, Fisher leads all active coaches in the conference with 227 wins overall including 142 in the Big South
  • Under Fisher, the Camels won the 2019-20 and 2021-22 Big South regular season titles and finished as Big South tournament runner-up in 2019, 2021 and 2022
  • Fisher has also led Campbell to its first-ever WNIT berth in 2021-22 along with two other postseason appearances in the WBI. He helped the Camels claim their first ever postseason win in the 2019 WBI
