Box Score ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Gianni Boone scored 10 points, Christabel Ezumah added nine and Campbell defeated UNC Asheville 54-44 Saturday at Kimmel Arena.
Audrey Fuller added eight points, eight boards and five assists while both Brittany Staves and Svenia Nurenberg chipped in seven points for the Camels (12-9, 7-3).
Campbell never trailed and shot 51.4 percent (19-of-37) from the field, 40 percent (6-of-15) on threes and made 10-of-14 free throws.
McKinley Brooks-Sumpter led UNC Asheville (6-15, 2-8) with a game-high 13 points while Faith Adams and Dakota McCaughan chipped in seven apiece for the Bulldogs, who shot 29.7 percent (19-of-64) from the floor and made 3-of-21 threes.
The Camels opened the game with an 8-0 run and extended their lead to 33-16 at the half.
Campbell extended its lead to as many as 21 as Courtney Dahlquist's three with 1:34 remaining in the third quarter made it 46-27.
UNC Asheville cut its deficit to as few as eight on Nycerra Minnis' steal and layup with 22 seconds left but drew no closer as pair of free throws by Fuller put the Camels ahead by double-digits again.
CU outscored Asheville 26-18 in the pain finished with a 39-30 lead on the boards. The Bulldogs edged Campbell 20-15 in points off turnovers, despite a season-high 33 turnovers by the Camels.
