WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. - Monmouth scored three second-half goals to defeat Campbell 3-0 Sunday afternoon at Hesse Field.
Campbell, who had its five-match unbeaten streak snapped, concludes the regular season 4-6-7 overall and 2-4-6 in CAA games. Monmouth improves to 9-5-2 overall and 8-2-2 in conference.
The Hawks scored its first goal just 25 seconds after the start of the second half on Chloe Ferreira's shot off a deflection. Monmouth added another in the 50th minute on Liza Suydam strike from the top of the box.
Monmouth added its final goal in the with 1:04 remaining on a header by Julia Evernham.
The Hawks outshot Campbell 20-2, 9-2 in shots on goal and had eight corners to one for the Camels.
