GREENSBORO, N.C. – Campbell picked up five-set win over NC A&T in the regular season's penultimate game Saturday afternoon. The teams traded sets with Campbell winning the first, third, and fifth sets on the day to earn the win.
The win moves Campbell to 15-12, 12-5 in league play. The 15-win threshold guarantees Campbell finishes above .500 for the year. NC A&T falls to 8-17, 6-11.
Melody Paige became Campbell's 13
th player to ever reach 1000 career kills, reaching that milestone with her seventh kill of the day.

Gwen Wolkow turned in a match-high 17 kills, joined in double figures by
Emily Campe who posted a career-high 12 kills on .429 hitting. As a team, Campbell hit .218 and held the Aggies to .158.
Each of the first four sets were decided by three or less points. Tied at 25-25 in the first, Wolkow and Campe came through with back-to-back kills to help Campbell take the first 27-25.
The second set proved to be CU's worst of the day, hitting only .097 en route to dropping the set 25-23. The Camels answered with their most efficient set of the day in the third, flipping the script to hit .361. Campbell needed each kill, taking the third just 25-23.
The Camels couldn't put the match away in four, allowing the Aggies to take it 25-22. The set was tied at 22-22 late before NC A&T reeled off three points in a row to force a fifth set.
Campbell went to a fifth set for the eighth time this season and didn't let the Aggies hang around any longer. CU jumped ahead to a 5-1 lead to take the fifth set 15-7.
The 2023 regular season concludes tomorrow with the finale at 2 p.m. against NC A&T. That game will be streamed on FloSports.
