KNOXVILLE, TENN. – Another school record fell, but Campbell dropped to eighth after day three of action at the CCSA Championships in Knoxville, Tenn. The Camels are only one point behind Old Dominion in seventh, and just 23 behind Georgia Southern in sixth place.
Izza Gaskey began the day by breaking the 100 breast record in the morning prelims, and returned only to set it again in the evenings finals with a time of 1:02.76. Gaskey finished tenth in the event.
Brenna Divoky joined Gaskey in the B Final of the 100 breast and clocked in at 1:04.17 for 15
th place. Piper Buton and
Arabella Butera both also reached the event finals, with times of 1:04.95 and 1:05.23, respectively.
Laura Lopez qualified for the C Final of th 100 back, where she posted a time of 56.27.
Avery Rogers represented Campbell in the 200 fly finals, with a 2:06.23 and a 19
th place finish.
The 800 free team of
Colleen Renshaw, Kat Gagnon,
Laura Lopez and
Meredith Ashburn finished sixth and a time of 7:29.74, shaving nearly five seconds off their prelim time.
