GREENSBORO, N.C. – Campbell (6-4) defeated UNC Greensboro (7-4) Wednesday by a score of 3-1.
The Camels jumped on the board in the first with a two-out, three-run home run from
Lindsey Hunt.
Hunt went 1-3 with three RBIs.
Tyra Parker went 1-3 with a run and
Claudia Ware went 1-1 with a run and two walks.
Jorde Chartrand responded for Greensboro in the bottom of the first with RBI double scoring Delaney Cumbie.
Chartrand finished 1-3 with an RBI and Samantha Lagrama went 1-2 with a walk.
Isabella Smith (5-2) earned the win pitching all seven innings only allowing one run on four hits while striking out five.
Jorde Chartrand (2-4) received the loss pitching all seven innings allowing three runs on four hits but striking out 10 Camels.

Campbell hosts the Camel Stampede this weekend, Feb. 24-26 where they will face #14 Duke, Wagner, Rider and Ohio. The Fighting Camels will open tournament play on Friday at 4:30 p.m. against Duke.
