Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Campbell falls at Longwood, 74-50

FARMVILLE, VA. – Campbell saw its three-game road winning streak snapped in a 74-50 defeat at Longwood Saturday afternoon.

Campbell (10-14, 5-7) shot just 36% for the game, and went 4-23 (17%) from beyond the arc, each the third lowest mark of the season in the loss. The win snaps Longwood's (16-9, 8-4) three-game slide in league play.

Jay Pal led the Camels with 15 points, and was responsible for three of the four made three pointers on the night, as he went 3-7 from deep. Ricky Clemons finished with nine points, five boards, and four steals.

Longwood featured a balanced scoring attack, led by 13 from Isaiah Wilkins. All ten Lancers that saw the court finished with at least four points, and five had 8+.

The Camel offense struggled from the start, with Campbell shooting just 1-11 from three, and 33% from the floor in the first 20 minutes. Meanwhile, the Lancers found their rhythm out of the gate shooting 50% from the floor to carry a 35-18 lead into the break.

Longwood only expanded that lead in the second half, leading by as many as 29 at 52-23. Campbell trimmed that lead to 14 with five minutes to go, but could not get draw closer than that.

The Camels return to action Wednesday at home to host High Point on Military Appreciation Night. Tip off is slated for 7 p.m. at Gore Arena, and will be streamed on ESPN+.
