Tuesday is the first of three meetings with the Chanticleers this season. Campbell will play host to the Chant's on April 10-11 as well.

Probable Starters
Tuesday Mar. 14 - 4 p.m. - ESPN+
Campbell: Hunter Loyd, Sr., RHP
Coastal: Matthew Potok, So., RHP

Series History
Campbell and Coastal have met 55 times, with the bulk of those coming when Coastal was a member of the Big South conference. Campbell has a record of just 18-37 in the series. The last meeting between the two was during an early season tournament in 2019 in Conway, where the Camels fell to No. 12 Coastal 11-2.

Know Your Opponent
Coastal brings a 9-5 record into Tuesday's game, and is coming off splitting a pair of games with Illinois last weekend. The Chanticleers have a marquee win on the resume already, knocking off then-No. 2 Wake Forest 13-11 in Conway.

Like Campbell, Coastal boasts a high-powered offense that ranks 12th in the nation in scoring with 10.3 runs/game, and is top 20 in both OBP and slugging.

The squad was picked to finish fifth and received one first place vote in the Sun Belt. They are led by Gary Gilmore, now in his 27th season at the helm for Coastal.

Last Time Out
Campbell continued its hot streak with another series win at App State. The Camels won Friday night's slugfest 16-15, and took the series with a 12-6 win Saturday before Sunday was canceled due to weather.

Campbell has now scored 10+ runs in four straight games, and averages 14.5 runs/game over the last four. The Camels are fifth in the nation in scoring at 10.9 runs/game on the season.

Looking Ahead
Campbell opens Big South play against Winthrop Friday night at Jim Perry Stadium. Friday will feature the first of four Friday Night Fireworks nights at Jim Perry Stadium this season. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. on Friday.
