BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Campbell picked up a 6-3 win over Queens Wednesday at Amanda Littlejohn Stadium.
Winners of seven of their last eight, the Camels improve to 20-9 overall while Queens drops to 10-11.
Queens took a 2-0 lead in the first as Kayla Smith knocked an RBI triple to left field and then scored herself following a throwing error by the Campbell defense in the first. Campbell answered as Alyssa Henault knotted things with a two RBI double in the third.
A bases loaded double from Delaney McDilda and a Tyra Parker RBI single gave the Camels the lead in the fourth.
The Royals got one back on a Kaylee DeJesus solo homer in the fifth before centerfielder Claudia Ware made a terrific diving catch to end the inning.
Isabella Smith (13-6) picked up the win after tossing 4.1 innings in relief where she recorded eight strikeouts and gave up her first earned run since March 11.
Abby Craver (3-8) took the loss in the circle for the Royals.
