BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Campbell Women's basketball assistant coach Lindsay Bowen has been named to the 75 Rising Stars: Impactful Women's Mid-Major Assistants list by Silver Waves Media.
The list by Silver Waves Media was compiled after consulting with a panel of industry professionals and features some of the most outstanding and impactful assistants in Division I women's basketball.
Bowen, who enters her eighth season as an assistant coach, assists will all aspect of the Campbell program with an emphasis on perimeter players. She has mentored and developed the top three-point shooters in program history including Caroline Bowns, Summer Price, Kianna Speight, Luana Serranho and Shy Tuelle.Â
She's helped guide Campbell to four 20+ win seasons, two conference regular season titles and three Big South Championship appearances. Additionally, Bowen has helped Campbell to two WBI postseason tournament appearances and the program's first ever WNIT appearance in 2022.Â
During her time at Campbell, Bowen has assisted in developing the Camels to become one of the top defensive teams in the nation, frequently placing at the top of various national defensive statistical categories each season. In 2016–17, the Camels were the best in the country in limiting opponents to 49.6 points per game. Campbell is also the only Division I program to have been ranked in the top 25 in scoring defense over the past seven seasons.Â
Before her coaching career, Bowen played at Michigan State (2002-06). She ranks fourth all-time in Spartan history with 1,739 points and helped lead the team to the 2005 NCAA Final Four.Â
