BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell baseball and head coach Justin Haire have announced their remaining fall schedule as they prepare for the 2024 season.
The Camels will hold 10 intrasquad scrimmages through the month of October leading up to the Fall World Series at the end of the month. Most of the scrimmages will fall on Tuesdays and Thursdays in addition to the final two Saturdays in the month.
The Fighting Camels return 20 players from the team that made the Columbia Regional Final last season. Notable returners include Big South Player of the Year Lawson Harrill and Big South Freshman of the Year Jackson Roberts.
Catcher Grant Knipp returns after being named to the All-Big South first team, and Max Weller and Chance Daquila made the second team.
Haire, last year's Big South Coach of the Year, looks to lead the Camels to similar results in their first season as a member of the CAA.
The scrimmages offer a chance for a first look at the 22 newcomers to the program this year, including 12 freshmen. Of the 22 newcomers, 16 are pitchers.
