BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Coastal Athletic Association has announced next season's conference football slate, completing Campbell's 2024 schedule.
With nonconference dates already on the books at Liberty (August 31) and at Western Carolina (September 7), as well as home matchups with Delaware State (September 28) and North Carolina Central (October 5), CU's 2024 schedule will add eight CAA outings, including four home and four on the road.
The Fighting Camels will open their CAA schedule on the road at Rhode Island on September 14 for their first ever matchup with the Rams. Since 2018, Campbell has faced 26 first-time opponents, including four in 2023, adding four more in 2024.
After three straight on the road to open the season, Campbell will make its home debut on September 21, hosting Stony Brook for the first of three consecutive dates at Barker-Lane Stadium.
Following an open date on October 12, the Camels jump back into CAA play at William & Mary on October 19, returning home to host North Carolina A&T on October 26. Campbell closed the 2023 with a 28-14 win at A&T.
CU heads to Elon for the first time on November 2, while Richmond makes its first trip to Buies Creek on November 9. The Camels will head to Delaware on November 16 before closing out the regular season at home on November 23, taking on Towson.
Full game times will be announced at a later date.
Four CAA Football squads were ranked in the final 2023 FCS Top 25 polls, including a pair of Campbell's 2024 opponents in Delaware (No. 10 Stats Perform / No. 11 AFCA) and Richmond (15 / 22). Rhode Island and William & Mary were among others receiving votes in the final AFCA poll.
Campbell finished its inaugural CAA campaign at 5-6 overall and 4-4 in league games. With the season finale win at NC A&T, Campbell became the first new CAA member to win four or more games in its first season since Old Dominion in 2011.
