BUIES CREEK, N.C. - The Coastal Athletic Association announced its 2024-25 preseason poll Friday afternoon as part of the league's Media Day event. 

North Carolina A&T are the preseason favorite, collecting 11 of 14 first place votes and receiving 166 points in the preseason ranking.

Defending CAA tournament champion Drexel (two first place votes) finished second in the poll with 148 points while Towson slotted third with the final first place vote and 134 points. 

Charleston and William & Mary finished tied for fourth in the poll with 124 points followed by Delaware (119 points) and Elon (86). Campbell entered the poll in eighth with 76 points. while last season's regular season champ Stony Brook finished ninth with 70 points. Monmouth (65 points), UNCW (59), Hofstra (50), Northeastern (33) and Hampton (19) rounded out the poll.

Coming off its first season in the CAA in 2023-24 (17-14, 9-9), Campbell returns juniors Gemma Nunez and Gianni Boone along with senior Audrey Fuller from last year's squad that reached the conference championship quarterfinals. 

The Camels open their ninth season under head coach Ronny Fisher at home on Monday, Nov. 4 at 5:30 PM against Mount Olive.
