BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Jasmine Felton and Ciara Alexander combined for 27 points off the bench and Campbell held High Point to 28 percent shooting Thursday in a 60-47 win at Gore Arena.
Courtney Dahlquist scored nine of her 12 points in the third quarter, while Gemma Nunez finished with a career-high 10 assists along with five steals and six boards for the Camels (2-1), who forced 21 turnovers and limited their former Big South rivals to shoot 19.2 percent (5-of-26) from three.
Dom Nesland finished as the lone Panther to reach double figures with 10 points while Nevaeh Zavala added nine points.
High Point (1-2) made just 14-of-50 shots from the floor and went 5-of-26 from three against the Camels.
Five different Camels scored six points or more and Campbell finished with a 44-29 edge on the boards, led by Audrey Fuller, who tied her career-high with 10 rebounds.
The Panthers led by as many as seven and ended the first quarter up 11-8. Campbell went on a 9-0 run in the second quarter and led 25-24 at the break. The Camels stretched its lead to double-digits after three straight triples from Dahlquist and never looked back, leading by as many as 24 with 5:07 left in the final quarter.
The Camels shot 39.1 percent (25-of-64) from the field and outscored HPU 36-18 in the paint while forcing 21 turnovers.
Campbell returns to action back at home next Tuesday in a 7 PM tip against East Tennessee State.
