Camels to face The Citadel Thursday night

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Camels return to action following exam break with a trip to Charleston to face The Citadel Thursday night at 7 p.m. Thursday's action will be on ESPN+ as well as a radio call on GoCamels.com and The Varsity Network App.

Series History
The Camels are 8-2 all-time against the Bulldogs and winners of two in a row after downing them 65-58 in the final game of last year's Creek Classic MTE in Buies Creek. Campbell turned the ball over a season-low five times in that game and shot 42% from three to pick up the win.

This will be Campbell's first trip to McAlister Field House since Nov. 16, 2019, an 87-73 win for the Camels. Campbell is 5-1 against The Citadel under Kevin McGeehan.

Scouting The Bulldogs
The Citadel enters with a 5-3 record and will be playing its last of eight consecutive home games. The Bulldogs are 0-2 thus far against CAA opponents, dropping games to NC A&T and cross-town rival Charleston.

Brody Fox leads the charge with 20.1 ppg. The 6'6" senior has four 20-point games already this season, including a season-best 29 against St. Andrew's (NAIA).

The Citadel was picked to finish ninth in the SoCon this season, and is led by 16th-year head coach Ed Conroy.

Last Time Out
Campbell got off to a slow start against Coastal and found itself trailing 19-3. The Camels battled back to take a second-half lead in a game that finished with 14 lead changes. Campbell had a possession with a chance to tie it and another look from three to win it at the buzzer, but ultimately came up short in a 58-57 defeat. Terren Frank led the way with a game-high 20 points.

Looking Ahead
The Camels head to Morgan State for the return trip of a home-and-home series after beating the Bears last year in Buies Creek. That one tips Sunday at 2 p.m. on ESPN+.
