Football inks five to open early signing period

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell opened the 2024-25 early signing period on Wednesday, inking five future Fighting Camels.

All five signees are high school products from five different position groups (three offensive and two defensive), hailing from four states, including two in-state prospects.

Tight end Brady Ambrose is a Tega Cay, S.C. native, attending Catawba Ridge High School, while AJ Benton, a Milton High linebacker is from Roswell, Ga. Dylan Congdon, an offensive lineman, will come to Buies Creek from Dover, Ohio and Tuscarawas High.

Wide receiver Chinua Ezeigbo and cornerback Bryce Lofton, meanwhile, will stay at home in the Tar Heel State, with Ezeigbo coming from Concord, N.C. and Central Cabarrus High, and Lofton joining the Camels from Mint Hill, N.C. and Independence High.

Following the early signing period, the Fighting Camels will add to their 2024-25 freshman class during the regular signing period for Division I football, running from February 5 to April 1.
