BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Camels go on the road for the first time this season to take on #22 Coastal Carolina in their second-straight midweek game against a ranked opponent.
The Camels (6-1) are fresh off their inclusion in multiple top-25 rankings. They rank No. 21 in D1Baseball and No. 25 in Baseball America's rankings. Campbell also finds themselves at No. 15 in the RPI. This is the earliest in the season Campbell has been included in the rankings.
The Chanticleers are 5-2 with four straight victories and find themselves at No. 22 in D1Baseball's top-25 list. They have scored 17, 25 and 26 runs in three of their victories.

Last Time Out
Campbell swept the series against Ohio with a walk-off win on Sunday. Braeden O'Shaughnessy got the hit that scored Peyton Bonds, and the Camels won, 8-7. The 6-1 start to the season is tied for the best start through seven games in Coach Haire's time in Buies Creek.
Series History
This is the 59th overall meeting between the Camels and the Chanticleers. Coastal holds the overall advantage, 19-39. In last year's meeting, Coastal Carolina earned the 12-9 victory.
Know Your Opponent
Coastal is led by head coach Gary Gilmore, who is in his 35th year of coaching. A Coastal Carolina alum, Gilmore has led the Chanticleers since the 1995-96 season. He has amassed a record of 1340-676-5.
Coastal is led at the plate by Jake Books, who leads the team in batting average, OPS, slugging percentage, on-base percentage, and is tied for the team-lead in hits. The left fielder is joined by catcher Caden Bodine and Zack Beach, who leads the team with four home runs.
Pitcher Josh O'Neill has made one start this season. He did not record a decision, pitching three innings with a 3.00 ERA. He allowed three hits, with five strikeouts and five walks.

The Camels have recorded 100+ doubles, home runs, stolen bases and HBPs in each of the past two seasons. They were the only team to accomplish this feat in either year.
