Campbell takes down Delaware 66-65

Four score in double-figures

NEWARK, Del. - Campbell had four double-figure scorers and held on for a 66-65 win over Delaware Friday night at the Bob Carpenter Center. Head coach Ronny Fisher picked up his 150th win at Campbell.

Campbell improves to 15-11 overall and 8-7 in CAA games while the Blue Hens fall to 10-17 overall and 6-9 in the league.

Shy Tuelle scored 14 points on 4-of-5 shooting from three in the first half for the Camels who led by as many as 13 and 37-27 at halftime.

The Blue Hens clawed back in the third quarter using a 12-4 run to cut the Camels lead to 57-51 entering the final period. Gemma Nunez, who scored a career-high 14 points, drained a deep three to put the Camels back up 11.

Delaware ended the game on a 10-0 run over the final 4:23 of the game but were forced to throw up a well-contested shot on its final possession.

Nunez added eight rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one steal. Ezumah added 12 points, and two blocks while Svenia Nurenberg scored 11 points. Gianni Boone provided eight points off the bench.

Campbell shot 52.1 percent (25-of-48) from the floor, 46.7 percent (7-of-15) from three and outscored the Blue Hens 22-12 off turnovers. Delaware shot 45.0 percent (27-of-60) from the field and made just 3-of-13 threes.

Tuelle moved up to 9th on Campbell's all-time scoring list (1,362 career points), passing Summer Price's (2014-18) total of 1,355 points.

Campbell continues on the road as it travels to Drexel in a 2:00 PM tip-off Sunday.
