WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – No. 4 Wake Forest held off visiting Campbell 4-0 on Sunday.
The Demon Deacons improved to 17-4 in dual matchups this season, while Campbell dipped to 7-6 overall.
Holden Koons and Saud Alhogbani clinched the doubles point for WFU with a 6-1 win over
Pol Otin and
Noe Macquart. In singles competition, Jamieson Nathan opened with a 6-2, 6-1 decision over CU's
Matias Lofink, while Holden Koons closed out the win for the Deacons, taking his matchup 6-3, 7-5 over
Lukas Steffen.
Campbell led in two of the three unfinished matchups, including
Damien Nezar against No. 22 Filippo Moroni (6-4, 2-6, 3-1) and
Benjamin Maes against Matthew Thomson (3-6, 6-3, 2-1).
Campbell begins a stretch with five of its final six matches of the regular season at home, starting with UNC Greensboro on March 21.
