Campbell falls to Towson 3-2

BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Campbell fell to Towson 3-2 after three runs were scored in the top of the seventh inning. 

The Camels put the first run of the game on the board in the fourth inning when Tristin Doster hit a sac fly that brought in Brooke Carey. Savannah White hit a sac fly in the fifth inning that brought in Alyssa Henault and gave the Camels their second and final run of the game. 

The Tigers (11-14) answered in the seventh inning when Cara Bohner hit a double that brought in Cori Jones. Ally Hickman then hit a two run home run to give them a total of three runs. 

Maddie Gardner ((3-7) was credited with the win and pitched 7.0 innings, allowing nine hits, two earned runs and four strikeouts.  

Isabella Smith (8-5) was charged with the loss after pitching 6.0 innings and allowing four hits, three earned runs and six strikeouts. Hannah Leierer pitched 1.0 innings and allowed no hits and no runs.
